Teen arrested after mother observed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - A number of companies responded to a center school in Texas Friday morning after a teen’s mother observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center College around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teen by no means made it inside the building, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the area together with a number of different companies in an attempt to find him.
The teen was discovered close to the varsity’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old could possibly be facing a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the college or anybody inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty was briefly positioned on lockout on account of the incident.
