Teen arrested after mom observed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - A number of businesses responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mother observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teenager never made it contained in the building, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the world together with a number of different businesses in an attempt to find him.
The teenager was discovered close to the varsity’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old could possibly be facing a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no risk made to the school or anybody inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Middle College was briefly positioned on lockout because of the incident.
