EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 occasions the authorized alcohol limit after no less than 5 people referred to as 911.
Officers say the calls began coming in around 4:40 p.m. Monday.
They say witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway near the Important Street exit. They are saying the crash caused a flat tire and the automobile to smoke, however the driver saved going.
Other callers say the motive force was everywhere in the highway and now missing a entrance tire.
They are saying he eventually stopped at a car dealership and appeared “tremendous drunk.”
Staff advised police the driving force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was attempting to sell his SUV.
Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had simply been in a crash.
They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and almost fell several times. Officers say he tested .291 on a conveyable breath test.
Police say inside his SUV, they discovered Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.
Mattingly is facing several costs.
He's the son of the manager for the Miami Marlins and former skilled baseball player, Don Mattingly.
