Apple has discontinued the iPod, 20 years after it was released.
The US tech large stated its iconic music player has been replaced by other gadgets, making the iPod redundant.
Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice-president of worldwide advertising and marketing, mentioned: "At the moment, the spirit of iPod lives on.
"We've built-in an unimaginable music experience across all of our products, from the iPhone to the Apple Watch to HomePod mini, and across Mac, iPad, and Apple TV.
"And Apple Music delivers industry-leading sound high quality with assist for spatial audio - there isn't any higher technique to get pleasure from, discover, and experience music."
In October 2001, Steve Jobs debuted the original iPod and it was the first MP3 participant that would hold 1,000 songs and had a 10-hour battery life.
"With iPod, Apple has invented an entire new class of digital music player that allows you to put your complete music collection in your pocket and listen to it wherever you go," he stated at the time.
"With iPod, listening to music won't ever be the identical once more."
Comparable MP3 gamers released by Microsoft and Sony did not have the identical success because the iPod.
Apple has released five versions of its music player - the Basic, Contact, Shuffle, Mini and Nano.
