KATHMANDU, Nepal -- A Nepali Sherpa broke her personal file as essentially the most successful female climber of Mount Everest by reaching the summit of the world's highest peak Thursday.

Sherpa, 48, never obtained an opportunity to get a formal education because she had to start incomes a residing by carrying climbing gear and provides for trekkers.
