Teen arrested after mom noticed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray News) - A number of companies responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mother seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle College round 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teen by no means made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area along with several other businesses in an try to search out him.
The teenager was found close to the varsity’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old might be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the varsity or anybody inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Middle School was briefly positioned on lockout on account of the incident.
