Teen arrested after mom observed son had gun at Texas faculty drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - Several agencies responded to a center faculty in Texas Friday morning after a teen’s mother observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center College round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teenager by no means made it inside the building, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the world together with a number of different businesses in an attempt to search out him.
The teenager was found close to the college’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old might be facing a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no risk made to the college or anyone inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Center School was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
