Teen arrested after mother observed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - Several businesses responded to a middle school in Texas Friday morning after a youngster’s mom noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty round 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teen never made it contained in the constructing, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the world along with a number of other companies in an attempt to search out him.
The teen was discovered close to the college’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old might be going through a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no risk made to the college or anyone inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Middle School was briefly positioned on lockout on account of the incident.
