Teen arrested after mother seen son had gun at Texas faculty drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray News) - Several agencies responded to a middle faculty in Texas Friday morning after an adolescent’s mom seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center Faculty around 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teenager never made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the world along with several different businesses in an attempt to find him.
The teen was discovered close to the college’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old may very well be facing a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no threat made to the varsity or anyone inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
