Nine Shot, One Dead in San Bernardino County – NBC Los Angeles

One person was killed and eight others had been injured Friday night when photographs were fired at a big party at a strip mall hookah lounge within the San Bernardino County group of Highland.

The taking pictures within the city east of San Bernardino was reported just before midnight in the 3600 block of East Highland Avenue. Officers encountered a big crowd of about 100 people within the area for a party at a hookah lounge.

A taking pictures victim situated outdoors died at the scene. A woman at the scene who recognized herself because the victim's grandmother said he is 20 years previous.

Eight different people have been hospitalized with what appear to be non-life-threatening accidents, police mentioned. The sheriff's department initially stated 10 individuals have been shot, but later updated that quantity to nine, together with the deceased victim.

Police are looking for two shooters in connection with the capturing, a supply near the investigation told NBCLA. The supply said most of the injured victims have been caught in the crossfire and did not appear to be intended targets.

Evidence markers had been positioned at a nearby gasoline station. Crime scene tape blocked off the intersection early Saturday near Tha Blu Flame lounge.

NBCLA has reached out to the enterprise for remark.

The motive for the taking pictures is underneath investigation, police mentioned.

No arrests have been reported. Detailed descriptions of the shooters were not instantly accessible.

Highland is just east of San Bernardino at the base of the San Bernardino Mountains.
