Nine Shot, One Dead in San Bernardino County – NBC Los Angeles

One individual was killed and eight others had been injured Friday evening when shots have been fired at a big social gathering at a strip mall hookah lounge within the San Bernardino County community of Highland.

The shooting within the city east of San Bernardino was reported simply before midnight in the 3600 block of East Highland Avenue. Officers encountered a big crowd of about 100 individuals in the space for a celebration at a hookah lounge.

A shooting sufferer positioned exterior died at the scene. A woman on the scene who identified herself as the sufferer's grandmother mentioned he is 20 years old.

Eight different people had been hospitalized with what seem like non-life-threatening accidents, police mentioned. The sheriff's division initially stated 10 individuals have been shot, but later updated that number to nine, including the deceased sufferer.
