Man arrested in connection with “college shooter” signs present in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after multiple indicators saying "college shooter" have been present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Security introduced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple expenses. 

An elevated amount of law enforcement officials were placed at colleges within the communities on account of the signs. A number of faculties initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the signs across the communities, the Department of Safety stated, but they determined there is no such thing as a credible menace right now.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The safety department launched a photo of the plate however blurred part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of criminal threatening and three misdemeanor charges including false report to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and felony threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No different suspects have been charged presently.
