BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after multiple signs saying "faculty shooter" have been found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Safety announced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple fees.

An elevated quantity of law enforcement officials have been positioned at colleges in the communities on account of the indicators. A number of schools initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the indicators around the communities, the Division of Security mentioned, but they decided there is no credible risk at this time.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The safety department launched a photograph of the plate however blurred part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of felony threatening and three misdemeanor charges together with false report to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and felony threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No different suspects have been charged at the moment.
