Man arrested in connection with “college shooter” indicators present in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A man was arrested Friday after multiple signs saying "college shooter" have been present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security introduced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple prices. 

An increased quantity of cops were positioned at colleges in the communities on account of the indicators. Multiple faculties initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the indicators across the communities, the Division of Safety mentioned, but they determined there isn't a credible menace right now.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The protection department launched a photo of the plate but blurred part of it "to guard the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of felony threatening and three misdemeanor prices together with false report to law enforcement, false public alarm and prison threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged presently.
